Shiner St. Paulís Brandon Sciba was already named the Most Valuable Player of the TAPPS Division IV State Championship game. Right Guard has now selected him as one of the recipients of the Right Guard Defensive Player of the Game Awards.

Right Guard selected a player or players from each Texas State Championship Team. Fox Sports Southwest also played a key role in the selection process.

Sciba helped lead his team to the state title. He was the leading tackler in the game and he also recorded an interception and a fumble recovery. Right Guard has awarded Shiner St. Paul a check in the amount of $500 and a trophy recognizing Brandonís accomplishment. Right Guard also awarded Brandon a certificate to commemorate the performance.

"Brandon has been a tremendous player during the last three years. It is nice to see him get this award. It is a great thing for Brandon and our school," said Coach Jake Wachsmuth
