Undefeated Shiner St. Paul travels to Hallettsville for its yearly rival matchup with Sacred Heart.

Shiner St. Paul at Hallettsville Sacred Heart

The Cardinals play at Sacred Heart and once again, a rivalry game with a district title at stake will be played.

"It will be a rivalry game between two very good football teams," St. Paul head coach Jake Wachsmuth said.

The Indians have traditionally always have a power running game but will throw the ball.

"Quarterback Braden Popp is a very good passer," Wachsmuth said. "Our defense will need to recognize the formation, be physical and swarm the football."

The Indians generally line up in an eight-man front on defense but switch to the 4-3 to defend the spread offenses.

"Our offense needs to not have turnovers. And we need to be patience because Sacred Heart does not give up the big play; we have to take what they give us," Wachsmuth said.
