Game Preview: Shiner St. Paul Cardinals at Austin Hyde Park Baptist Panthers


The Shiner St. Paul Cardinals and Austin Hyde Park Baptist Panthers meet for the first time ever tomorrow (Friday September 16, 2016) in Austin.

"We are playing a different team. They are a bigger (TAPPS) school and run the spread," Cardinals head coach Jake Wachsmuth said.

"We need to build off what we did last week (35-21 win at Flatonia)."

St. Paul’s defense will need to prevent the Panthers from executing a big play.

"We have given up a big play or two in every game, and we need to correct that," Wachsmuth said.

The St. Paul offense has done well in protecting the football and did not have a negative-yard play in its last game.

Wachsmuth said he wants to see both of those trends continue.
