Playoff Game Preview:
Marble Falls Faith Academy Flames at Shiner St. Paul Cardinals


St. Paul hosts Marble Falls Faith Academy Flames this Friday ( November 11, 2016 ) at Comanches Stadium for the opening round of the playoffs.

"This is the time where you need to be very focused during the week," Cardinals head coach Jake Wachsmuth said. "If we take care of all of things we need during the week, we can play well enough to win."

Marble Falls Faith runs the spread on the offensive side of the ball.

"They like to run quarterback keep and zone read and plenty of passing plays," Wachsmuth said. "Our defense has to stop the run and put pressure on the quarterback."

The Flames defense runs the split.

St. Paul had no turnovers in its final regular season game.

"We just have to continue to get better and we need to execute our assignments well," Wachsmuth said.

Key players for Marble Falls Faith are quarterback Braeden McBryde, running back linebacker Preston Richardson, offensive-defensive lineman Michael Hall and wide receiver Reagan Hanish.
