FLATONIA - Zak Johnson and Noah Boedeker combined for 355 yards and six touchdowns on the ground to guide St. Paul Cardinals into their fourth straight TAPPS IV state championship game. Cardinals had a great game defensively with four turnovers and forcing Sacred Heart to punt three times.

The Cardinals opened scoring with 3:53 left in the opening quarter with Johnson scoring on a 7-yard run.
St. Paul got a 58-yard run by Johnson with 7:29 left in the first half and Johnson's 4-yard run at the 1:19 mark of the second frame put St. Paul ahead 21-0.
The Indians cut the lead to 21-7 at the 10:36 mark of the third quarter on a 19-yard pass from Austin Kutac to Michael Koeth.
St. Paul responded in the last six and half minutes of the quarter on touchdown runs of 43 and 20 yards by Boedeker.
Johnson's 1-yard run with 6:35 left in the game put St. Paul ahead 42-7.
The Indians put one more score on the board with 50 seconds left on a 32-yard pass from Kutac to Nick Angerstein. Korbin Koehne converted the two-point play with a run.
