SHINER -- Gil Hodges ran for 244 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Shiner St. Paul Cardinals to a 48-0 win over the Texas School for the Deaf of Austin.
Hodges found the end zone four times in the first half as the Cardinals (3-1) took a 28-0 lead. His scores came on runs of 3, 7, 12, and 15 yards, along with catching a two-point conversion.
Hodges opened the second half with a 31-yard scoring run before Brandon Sciba added a 6-yard TD run and Devin Pesek crashed in from the 2.
Hodges scored on five of his 20 carries en route to his 244 yards, while Sciba added 105 yards on 11 carries.
